Consolidated neat resin shapes

The use of Ceramer and Ceramerplus as neat resins covers a wide range of applications. By hot pressing Ceramer, it is possible to produce parts with a mirror-finish surface.

  • Universal chemical resistance comparable with PTFE
  • Steam resistance and sterilization possibilities (stable at 180 °C for 6 h)
  • Extremely high service temperature (short-term to 500 °C, Tg approx. 360 °C)
  • Inherent flame resistance (>1.5 mm UL 94 V-0)
  • High hardness, strength and stiffness
  • Excellent surface quality, enabling a mirror-finish surface
  • Excellent creep resistance

High purity Ceramer for semiconductor applications

The extraction values of high purity Ceramer 20 parts are substantially lower than those of standard PTFE and comparable to high purity PFA — making high purity Ceramer 20 very suitable for applications in the semiconductor industry.

Water absorption of consolidated neat shapes of Ceramer was measured according to ISO 62: the weight gain at 23 °C is 0.1% after 24 h and 0.4% when equilibrated.
